IMPORTANT NOTE: Top straws for the Playtex Quickstraw and Insulator Sport Straw Cup are no longer manufactured; TB50020 may be substituted. Bottom straws for these cups are still available at this time (TB50001) and will fit into top straw TB50020.

Top straws don't fit the Insulator Sport Straw Cup 05/08/2010

My child chews on the top straw part and I have previously replaced them for his insulated sports cups. But now I see that they no longer make them. And even though the description says that the TB50020 may be substituted for the Insulator Sport Straw Cup top straws, they are too short. And you don't realize that until you open the package. And once you realize they are useless, you can't return them because you have opened the package. I am now stuck with $6 worth of top straws that are useless to me. I was trusting the description to be accurate, so I'm a little frustrated.

My little one doesn't chew the straw, but I've found the valve in the bottom gets loose with use and repeated washings in the dishwasher. Must have or the cup is useless! I'd recommend you always keep some spare top straws around - I've never run into the need to replace the bottom ones unless it's lost. If it wasn't for my need to replace these every 3 months, I'd rate them much higher. Daughter loves the Playtex insulated straw cups.

If your little one likes to bite straws, this is a must! Easy to wash and assemble.

This is a must have if you use the Sip & Discover cup. Good for replacing old, chewed straws (and ALL babies chew their straws).
